I offer lifestyle sessions for families, couples, maternity, newborns and high school seniors. Sessions take place either on location or in your home.

Once I receive your Contact form, I’ll reach out via email to set up a phone or video call. We’ll discuss details for your session and make sure I am the right photographer for you. A signed contract and paid Creative Session Fee secures your session on my calendar.

No. This fee reserves the date on my calendar and covers my time and talent to scout locations, style your family, and prepare for your session. Collection packages are additional to the creative session fee.

Clients typically book me several months in advance to get their dream location. Fall is busy season for family photos. I recommend scheduling your Fall photos at the start of summer to secure your session. Spring is a busy time for senior photos. I recommend starting the booking process late winter.

I work all over Southern California, from San Diego to Malibu. I can also travel to where you live or your dream destination. Clients have flown me to Arizona for their family portraits. Please note that if you are booking me for a travel session that is 2+ hours outside of San Diego, additional travel fees apply.

I photograph 1-2 hours before sunset or in the early morning hours for beautiful, dreamy light. If you have little kiddos with early bedtimes, a morning session might be best and you will love greeting the sun to start your day. However, parents are often surprised how long kids can last in sessions past their bedtime especially when they are having fun! If these times won't work for you, consider a cozy in-home session where nothing says “this is us” more than photos in your own home and around your neighborhood.

I offer mid-week sessions as they are less busy than weekends. During the high-demand Fall season and for families traveling from out of town, I do offer a few weekend dates.

I currently do not offer mini-sessions. Many times the best photos happen later in the session as clients get more comfortable in front of the camera.

As a full-service photographer, I help all my clients print their photos. I have spent much time curating the finest professional labs for consistent quality, price point and product variety. Too many times clients receive an overwhelming amount of images but never print their photos. I value the portraits I create for you and help you select the best images and products for you to lovingly display in your home.

I keep an eye on the weather as your session approaches and will reschedule for rain or extreme heat. That said, I do not consider our famous marine layer as bad weather. Clouds add interesting texture to the sky and help soften shadows, which all results in beautiful images.

Of course! I adore the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren. I just ask that grandparents be styled in advance along with your family, and come ready to interact and play. Your session includes up to six people of your immediate family. There is a small fee for each person additional to your immediate family. If you are having a reunion with more family members, pricing for an extended family session would be different.

Please do! Fur babies are members of the family and are guaranteed smile producers. If your pup is high energy, I do recommend bringing an extra person to hold the leash in case you want a few photos without your furry baby.

What you wear is an important part of how your photos will look. I offer as much assistance as you would like to curate the perfect wardrobe. I recommend a color palette based upon your personal style and the location. You’ll receive my Styling Guide, a wardrobe questionnaire then receive wardrobe look boards via my online styling software for your whole family. Clients typically purchase new clothing to mix with some of their existing pieces. Most importantly, your wardrobe look will be specific to your family’s style and vibe.

I haven’t lost a dad yet! He may not love the process, but he’ll always love having the photos. I do my best to make everyone, including him, feel at ease. Let him know we don’t do many looking at the camera photos. His role is to love on his family. I direct age appropriate games with little ones and environment exploration all while he interacts with his most important people. Dads tell me they enjoy my sessions, even when they had reservations going in. The same goes for teenagers! Dad gets a break from the camera when I photograph just the kiddos or mom with kiddos. However, I do offer motherhood sessions where we beautifully highlight the love between you and your children.

I always make a few photos of the family smiling toward the camera at the beginning of the session, but the majority of my photos are loosely posed with movement to capture your family’s natural story of Love + Joy. If you are looking for multiple combinations of people all stiffly posed looking at the camera, I am not the right photographer for you.

Three weeks after your photo session you’ll come to my office for your gallery reveal, view sample products and place your order. Your products will be delivered in 4 to 5 weeks. And no problem if you live out of town as we can do this via video call.

You are under no obligation to use your value-added print credit offered with your collection. It has no cash value therefore I am not able to give you a discount on your selected collection if you don't wish to use it. You are welcome to use it to purchase additional prints gifts for family members.
